For submitted papers, you must submit a PDF that follows the formatting requirements detailed within the template. The easiest way to do this is to use the templates provided (Microsoft Word, or LaTeX), but you can use a different document preparation system as long as you customise the formatting to adhere to the formatting requirements.

For presentations and posters, the templates are provided as a convenience but are not mandatory. You may adapt them, use your own in-house template, if you prefer.
